Get rid of "Great Britain", National Anthem and Union Jack

Now I thought that New Labour was all about reforming industry and making our country great again - as apparently the Blue Team had made such a mess of it. So I guess all will be well again when we abolish the Union Jack, National Anthem and the word "Great" from the name of our country. If you believe anything you read in the papers: according to Wolff Olins, a top corporate image agency, the company has been working for two years on our image. "We have been dogged by poor labour relations and the late delivery of goods, "says John Williamson, a principle of Wolff Olins. "We need to create a new modern, national brand. A new brand for the new Millenium." So "God save the Queen" has to go - because Royalty is a poor, dated image. The Union Jack won't be so Union when New Labour hands Wales and Scotland devolution - so we new a new, simple flag with the word "Britain" on it - as "Great" puts other people off - and apparently means that when we order goods from abroad - they check to see what you national flag is - and delivery performance is not dependent upon the flag of your country. Does this sound like New Labour meddling in the things they once sang about loudly? The abolishment of the Queen, the House of Lords, anything that reminds us of who we are and what we are about?

President Blair and sleaze

Gordon Brown refuses to where dinner suite at state balls - "too old fashioned" and Blair wants everyone to call him "Tony". The State opening of Parliament became the State opening of New Labour - as Blair hijacked the proceedings by doing a presidential "walk-about" with his Wife. This is typical of the underlying and evil way in which we are being brainwashed - we are being told what is good for us.

As police investigated claims that Labour MP Mohammed Sarwar offered a 5,000 pound bribe to a rival election candidate, Mr. Blair was condemned for not taking swift action. Substitute Major for Blair and some other name for Sarwar and we could be doing time travel. Why did the electorate believe that New Labour was any different to Old Tory?

Frank Field steals from Blue Team chest of ideas

Field is reported to have supported dated Tory ideas on the motivations of unemployed claimants who have "an easy time of it" rather than start work. Field proposes reforms that the Red team did not support when the Blue team proposed it. Typical - or just politics?

Windfall Tax on Lottery to line Budget Rises and Minister quits in Record Time

Since the "tax loopholes" will not pay for increasing costs under New Labour, this is at least one areas ripe for the picking. Also, just after 72 hours in office, Derek Foster - appointed Minister for Public Services. His reason? Blair had broken a two year-old promise by denying Mr. Foster a Cabinet job. Five days into power and first problem hits. Any different to the Blue team? So is New Labour all that different on smear and poor relations? I don't think so - but the electorate will have to wait to believe it.

We are the Servant - the People are the Leaders

Socialist propaganda at Number 10! Blair is reported to have said that "The people are our Masters". However, the people are not capable of making decisions do we, the meek New Labour, must make decisions for the People.

Tony Blair's orchestrated welcome in Downing Street

Smacked of soviet-style fraud: press and TV showed Blair arriving in Downing street to "rapturous, unprepared public adoration" that turned out to be all the youngest Labour Party members that could be brought together to "welcome" in the new Leader. No public are normally allowed that close to Number 10 - and everyone forgot t mention that on TV - a shallow introduction to the orchestrated leadership we are likely to receive.
